Lookahead approximate dynamic programming for stochastic aircraft maintenance check scheduling optimization

چکیده

• Aircraft maintenance check scheduling optimization considering uncertainties. A tractable lookahead approximate dynamic programming (ADP) methodology is proposed. The ADP adopts a policy that uses deterministic and stochastic forecasts. makes decision its long-term impact. This paper proposes for aircraft scheduling, the uncertainty of daily utilization elapsed time. It framework, using hybrid policy. one-step optimal heavy based on forecasts then determines light according to objective minimize total wasted interval between checks while reducing need additional slots. By achieving this goal, one also number increasing availability respecting airworthiness regulations. We validate proposed fleet data from major European airline. descriptive statistics several test runs show that, when compared with current practice, potentially reduces A-checks by 1.9%, C-checks 9.8%, slots 78.3% over four years.
